Poland under the Cross

“Poland under the Cross”, quoting some words of the organizers is a prayerful  response to the recent intensifying attacks on the Church by anti-Christian sources.  The blasphemies have started to spread to a degree beyond measure.  What has been up to now understood as sin, is now a topic of debate.  As Christians, we are people of hope, we understand the power of prayer, and we know the greatest sign of victory is Christ’s Cross. This is why we will be gathering together to pray in the glow of the Cross of Jesus Christ.

Christ died on the cross for our salvation. Therefore this time of prayer is meant to encourage us to profess our faith, convert, and accept the cross as the focal point of our lives.

The schedule for the vigil is as follows:

September 13

  • 19:00 Mass (Solemn carry-in of the cross)
Mass with be followed by adoration of the cross and Station of the Cross
  • 21:00 Apeal to Jasna Góra, followed by adoration of the cross and of Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament

September 14

  • 8:30 Mass (during mass, there will be a blessing of any crosses which we have brought from home)
After mass there will be a rosary procession, concluded with prayers that the cross may take a central place in our personal lives, our family life, and the life of our nation.

We encourage you to join us through participation in Holy Mass, as well as prayer and reflection led by the Rosary Society. During the all-night vigil, you will have the opportunity for individual silent adoration at any chosen time, as well as the sacrament of reconciliation.
