Cardinal Thomas Collins has released a message today in regards to the coronavirus situation that churches and chapels are to be closed effective immediately. This also includes our perpetual adoration chapel. You may adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament on the altar of our church remotely through the camera (link above to “Parish TV”).
The parish office will also be closed. You may still reach the parish office by telephone or email.
Starting tomorrow, we will also be live streaming daily masses on YouTube (and Facebook Live as we have been thus far) following our regular mass schedule.

Read the Cardinal’s Message on COVID-19 released March 17.
Cardinal Collins has cancelled Masses in all churches in the Archdiocese of Toronto this weekend due to the great danger of contracting the coronavirus, and to be in line with directives from the Ministry of Health, which prohibit gatherings greater than 250 people.
The church will be open on Sunday from 8am to 8pm for adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
Holy Masses on Saturday morning and during the week will be celebrated as scheduled.

All Fridays, especially during Lent, are days of abstinence from meat, but in Canada, Catholics may substitute special acts of charity or piety on this day. During Lent, we are asked to devote ourselves to seeking the Lord in prayer and reading Scripture, to service by giving alms, and to sacrifice self-control through fasting. We are called not just to abstain from sin during Lent, but to true conversion of our hearts and minds as followers of Christ. We recall those waters in which we were baptized into Christ’s death, died to sin and evil, and began new life in Christ.

This Lenten season, we invite all parishioners to help feed the hungry in our community. While many Christians make the choice to adopt Lent as a time of fasting and abstinence, some of our neighbors do not have a choice. Please help by participating in our Knights Lenten Food Drive, and bring non-perishable food items to the Church over the next 7 weeks. The food collected during this time will be distributed among the less fortunate families in our parish.
Inspire yourself & others to become more involved in the cause of Life. We are fortunate to have three great featured presenters:
Jakki Jeffs – Alliance for Life Ontario
Matt Wojciechowski – Campaign Life Coalition
Alex Schadenberg – Euthanasia Prevention Coalition
When: Saturday, Feb. 22nd at 10:30am (there is a Mass at 9:00am followed by the Rosary for those who would like to attend)
Where: Merciful Redeemer Parish 2775 Erin Centre Blvd, Mississauga (Lower level meeting room) This event is open to all members, Pro-life Organizers, CWL, Knights of Columbus as well as those interested in joining the Pro-life cause.
