    The collapse of the global economy has contributed to worsening conditions for the very poor in the Caribbean nation of Haiti, according to Fr Richard Frechette with the "Fondazione Rava”.
  • UN envoy: diplomatic unity key to help end Yemen war
    More than 200 people were killed or injured in Yemen in March, the deadliest so far this year. The world’s biggest humanitarian crisis has exacerbated with a second wave of Covid-19 infections. The UN is urging for a ceasefire and eventual end to the war.
  • UNICEF/IOM: Children among those drowned off Djibouti
    A ship carrying migrants capsizes off the coast of Djibouti in yet another tragedy involving men, women and children fleeing conflict in search of a better life. The International Organization for Migration, and the UN Children’s agency UNICEF confirm over a dozen children lost their lives.
